Wear it all begins

Once you've booked your session, dressing for your photoshoot is often top of mind (especially if you are prepping for family photos). I thought I'd weigh on in the topic and give a few helpful tips when deciding what you want to wear. Check ou the tips below.

FAMILY|Maternity

Let's chat about where we will take the photos and from there we can decide if a specific colour palate is a good idea.

  • Neutrals are often a great choice and allow for a light, airy look.
  • Stick with a similar colour palate if you're coordinating with multiple family members.
  • Avoid logos and athletic wear, they don't tend to photograph as well.
  • Hats are ok, but keep them simple! (think one colour, and basically logo-less)

I am happy to help consult on this, as well. If you have questions, please reach out.

ENGAGEMENT

For engagement sessions, I like to coach my clients to wear something they feel great in.

  • This is also a great opportunity to test out your wedding hair and makeup.
  • Pull out that dress or suit you never get to wear.
  • If you are looking for something a bit more laid back, consider coordinating with your significant other to wear similar tones.
  • Avoid logos and athletic wear, they don't tend to photograph as well.
  • Hats are ok, but keep them simple! (think one colour, and basically logo-less)

If you need recommendations for hair or makeup - don't hesitate to reach out.

GLAM|BACHELORETTES

For headshots:

  • I love a basic like a black turtleneck or a crisp white t-shirt and a blazer to spice things up.

For glam shoots:

  • Wear what you feel great in, and can have some fun in!

This goes for your bachelorette parties, too:

  • I want you to feel fabulous and have fun.
  • You can also bring a few options to the shoot, and I'll help you decide.
